Engine Stumble

I've had a couple instances lately where I will be loafing along at 2-3000 rpm, and I'll feel the engine cut out briefly. If I give it more gas, it will stumble for a second or two and then come out of it. This is only at very light throttle. Never had any issues at higher rpm's at moderatle throttle. Obviously lugging the engine a bit, but doesn't seem right. Anybody have this issue? It's an 04 with 16K on the clock.

Howdy Troyce, Wish I could offer some help. I have an '04 also and have never had what you've described happen, but I have to tell ya I hardly, if ever run it at that low of an rpm. I did install a power commander which solved my abrupt throttle on/off and the 4000-4500rpm stumble. I guess about the only think I could suggest is to not run it at that low of an rpm. Hope you can figure it out.

I have on my 02. Normally, I run 87 in the tank. This time, I ran 93 with SeaFoam fuel system cleaner, 1 bottle to 2 tanks of fuel and it did the trick. Before I did anything, I checked my air filter and my throttle cable play.

Thanks guys. I have considered running some injector cleaner through it. I always run 93, and I adjusted my throttle cable when I did my tstat last summer.
I'll give it a shot and see what happens...
