Well, I dropped the RWB 07 today. I was nearly at a stop and when my right foot hit the pavement I got a massive charlie horse and over she goes. Me with it. I had the hard bags on and between that and Radar's sliders the bike suffered virtually no damage, A few small scratches on the right side mirror housing, right side hard bag and the end of the slider is gouged up. Me, not so much. My right leg is quite painful and knotted up really good. We were about 3 hours from home so the ride back was a treat. We were in Indian Lake, NY and just stopping for some eats when it happened. So, THANK YOU RADAR! The cost of the sliders is way offset by the money saved from NOT having to buy a new side fairing. Good thing we got those sliders on, and, now you have the perfect excuse to do that RWB paint job on the bags!! The best part is, now you have the drop out of the way, so you don't have to worry about doing it again! Let me know if there's something I can help with.
Thanks for the offer Seb. It was a great day to be out for a ride. We did just over 200 miles and the scenery was really nice. Back to work tomorrow - my labor day holiday will come later.
Sorry to hear mate, did the same thing with a 2 month old ZZR1400, just finished a 1200 mile trip, 30 miles from home rear bag was falling off, stupidly tried to push it back on the bike whilst on the side stand, my partner was sitting on the back, it slid forward onto it's side a sickening feeling, girlfriend was not to amused either.
You seemed to escaped with little damage, I had soft bags on they also took most of the impact.
Well, I am finally able to post a pic of the damage to me - after letting it moderate a bit. Early on it was eggplant purple. At least now I can sit in a chair without the constant pain that this beauty brought along with it. I hit nothing, just the damage from the muscle "snapping" from the effort. Lowering kit for the VFR is on it's way here.

Wow. I don't know if you have had a CT Scan or not on that leg but a coworker had some severe cramping on his leg in about the same area. He went to the doctor and they found a large blood clot. He immediately put on blood thinners and not allowed to ride his Gold Wing for awhile. If the blood clot moves up to his lungs, he can die from the blockage. His problems all came about from a cramp that he felt when riding. I'm glad your bike is okay but I would go get that leg scanned if you can.
Doc says not to worry, take asprin and it really wasn't that close to my brain, being a guy and all........ :laugh: They found no clotting. Hey Nicole, based on Sebs comment does that mean we don't even need to put the side stand down anymore? LOL. Nope, Sharon was behind me and just watched from a safe distance!
His problems all came about from a crap that he felt when riding. I'm glad your bike is okay but I would go get that leg scanned if you can.
