Air Hawk Seat Cushions

I have a question on these air hawk seat cushions, for those running them on their vfrs. Do they fold over the edges of the seat so it doesnt cut into your innner thighs?

Thats one thing the stock seat is bad about , cutting into your inner thighs. I presently use foam and wool seat pad, but wondering about the Airhawk, because of the floating design and air circulation.

Airhawk seat cushion is top notch , it really works well...and I was surprised....thinking its just another gimmick...WRONG...its most EXCELLENT ***** my 5 star rating...buy one and you and your a$$ will both be happy...the `14x14 medium cruiser fits absolutely perfect on a sargent seat like it was custom made for it....my borrowed one has been returned now so i am looking for another, so if any reason you dont like it I am looking to buy one now, thanks Doug
....To answer your question...get out a tape measure and find out, they come in 3 different sizes.

Thanks for the info, I've been debating on sargeant or corbin possibly, I like a taller seat but got the impression the Sargent sits lower than stock, the sargeant airhawk combo might be the ticket, by the sound.

Why would you spend the money on a new seat if you're going to use an Airhawk?

Thats a very good question, I assumed the stock seat having a more severe downslope may not work well with airhawk. The Sargeant seems more flatish.

Right now I've been riding on mutiple layers of foam and a wool top coat, I luv the taller seat, and I'm not giving up that height. The sargent seat seems lower than stock , that will kill my legs. The corbin has a horn near the tank where I spend time sitting and I hear its even harder than stock.

As you can see why I'm near 65,000 mile, still on stock seat, no true option

Quick question, when you sit on a balloon, one side collasps and the other side rises, what prevents this with airhawk, since all the cells are interconnected ?

I have a friend with the air cushion seat, likes it on his Suzuki Bandit. YMMV. :schla15:

I use my sargent seat alone first 250/300 miles and then add the airhawk, gives you another 250/300 .
The airhawk gives me a bit more legroom to stretch out=adds height which I need and the sargent seat gives me back support thats not there in oem seat. See airhawk site for how its made. The sargent alone is better in twisty areas also.

I added a thin gel pad like the airhawk, I really liked it for my butt, but it was taller and it put a little more weight on my wrists, not bad but on a 3+ hour trip, it was not too comfortable, but I am only 5'9"
