Well, the end of my riding season is close enough that I'm going to start tearing my VFR apart to put in a thermostat. Should be perfect weather for testing once I get it back together (I'm slow and will likely not finish this all at one time). I have downloaded a couple of instruction/walk-throughs so I think I have a decent chance for success. I'll also be throwing on my VFRness while I'm in there and wiring up my grip heaters. The only part that bothers me is getting throttle-bodies off and onto the intakes.

Take it slow, take your time you'll be fine. Do you have a long enough screwdriver? Once the clamps are loose, taking the bodies on and off isn't actually that bad compared to other V engines, the reason is that the intake track on the 6th gens is straight up and down, not 90 degrees from the angle of the V of the engine so it comes off by pulling straight up and goes back on by pushing straight down.
