My Stupid Questions Of The Day...

What body colors did the VFR come in for 2002 and 2003?

Were all of the bikes from this 2-year period equipped with black wheels?

For color choice information, I like to use http://www.colorrite.com/ however, this won't tell you about wheel color choices. IIRC, they only came in black for 02 & 03. I like to use google's web images page search and focus on factory or publication sources. http://images.google...h...l=en&tab=wi

Black wheels only for all colors until 2004, when they switched to silver wheels on all models. The only exception to the silver wheel rule since was the '07 RW&B Anniversary Edition, and, more recently, the 2009 Black model(with black wheels), the 2009 white/black model with white wheels(Europe & Canada only), and for 09/10 gold wheels (Europe & Canada only).

So it looks like
2002:
R157- Italian Red with black wheels

2003:
R157- Italian Red
NH411M- Force Silver Metallic with black wheels

So to make it easy, for '02 red or red, and for '03 red or silver. Both had black wheels.

To the O.P., you could get a nice deal on a bike w/ scratches & have it painted yellow over the winter!

US color history for 6th gen's, if I remember correctly:
'02 - Italian red, silver - all w/black wheels
'03 - Italian red, silver - all w/black wheels
'04 - Italian red w/silver wheels, asphalt black w/black wheels
'05 - winning red, silver - all w/silver wheels
'06 - white, black (aka 'bass boat black') - all w/silver wheels
'07 - RWB anniversary w/black wheels, 'candy apple' metallic red w/grey wheels
'08 - metallic grey/silver w/silver wheels
'09 - black w/black wheels

+1 on Seb's suggestion. If you have your heart set on a yellow 6th gen, buy one in stock color and get it painted, or buy a VFR, a spare set of plastics, get them painted then swap them out and sell the originals.

I can easily live with red or yellow, my CRX-Si is red, my S2000 is yellow, I like both

I mentioned this in my New Member Introductions thread, my biggest challenge right now is not color, I would be very happy with red for sure, but I just can't decide between Gen5 2000-2001 or Gen6 2002. Most likely 2003 is beyond what I'm willing to spend. I'm only so so on the Gen5 dash, it is just poorly done but lots of people seem to rave over the Gen5 mechanical bits even thought the Gen6 has the VTEC.

Uhhh. my '05 Silver has black wheels...

you could always take the bodywork and tank to a paint shop... corvette yellow with pearl you can do it............
