Stupid Question Of The Day.

I'm doing some modifications to my bike (adding heated hand grips, cutting down the stock grips so that my vistacruise doesn't stick) and my bike is locked in the garage until my apartment maintenance can get here to fix the door. Well I'm tired of waiting to do some work, so here's my stupid question:

The thinner handgrip goes on the throttle side, correct? That would make sense since to accommodate the throttle tube. I'm 95% sure this is the case, but I don't want to cut down the wrong one, thanks!

I'd rather re-word this for the sake of safety.... The one with the largest inside diameter goes on the throttle.....
