I am just trying to confirm something here. I have a 2003 vfr, leo vince carbon exhaust (with conical ends), k&n air filter, and just installed an older power commander III (non usb) and o2 elim's that came with the bike.
I downloaded Coyze's map and love how smooth the bike runs but............
I know you cant have the best of both worlds, but my fuel mileage went from 42 mpg to 34 mpg and I would like to get it back up a little. So here is my question:
If you re-hook up the o2 sensors to try and help when cruising the highways between twisties, do they affect the ecu ONLY if the throttle is STATIC between 5% and 40% and 3500 rpm to 5000 rpm? So I am assuming if you are twisting the throttle the through the 3500 to 5000 rpm range the ecu is not using the data that is coming from the o2 sensors? Or is it constantly trying to lean the air/fuel mix through that range? I called Dynojet and they seemed to think that with the sensors hooked up they will always try to lean the bike out in that range no matter what the throttle is doing.
