Blown fuse

The other day I noticed that my turn signals weren't working. I later figured out the horn wasn't working either, but the high low beam selector was working fine. I traced down the fuse box, and changed the fuse, and it popped again as soon as I turned the ignition on. I looked at the wiring harness for marks or breaks and everything looks good. Anyone have any clue why this thing is blowing fuses? I had the wiring harness changed out at the dealer last year and no problems with anything until recently. BTW it is an '03 ABS model.

Have you had the harness recall addressed?

Check the wires at the back of the bike - near where the seat latch connects to hold the seat in place. That area has been known to get wires pinched/rubbed the wrong way.

I was having the same issue on the old girl a few years back, every time I made a left turn the signal would stop and no horn. Traced it to a worn out lead on one of the blades to the horn, the insulation had worked too much and cracked. Then every time I made a left turn the blade connector would make contact with somthing and short out. I shrink wrapped it up and problem solved.

If anything like the 5th gen, the wire insulation at the front brake lever wore through at the push on connectors and it is shorting to the handlebars at that point. There have been a few posts in the past that this was the issue with.

Take the brake lever housing off and add some tape or shrink tubing over the push on connectors. On mine, the wear hole was so small it was almost invisible but extra insulation was the fix.
