I've decided that I want to put white wheels on my RWB 6th Gen. I want to keep the stock wheels in their original condition for when I sell the bike in the future. I know I can use 3rd Gen and 5th Gen wheels on the rear but my question is which other generation VFR front wheels are compatible with the 6th Gen? I'm hoping to pick up a used front wheel for cheap and have it powercoated and need to know specifically if 5th Gen wheels and rotors can be used on my 6th Gen. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I seemed to have confirmed what you said about the 5th Gen wheel from an older thread I found using the search feature. Since I am confident a 5th Gen wheel would work I'd like to modify my question to find out if a 3rd Gen wheel and rotor will work on a 6th Gen. That would save me some cash since I already have 3rd Gen wheels.

I can only think of one reason why not, MAYBE axle size. The 3rd gen wheels also are fixed rotors, not floating.
Here's an idea, sell the complete 3rd gen set and have plenty left over for extra wheels for the 6th gen, even with powder coating.
isn't the 6th gen rim the same as a CBR? they look the same, can anyone enlighten me too?
IDK, I'd just pull them and paint them, then paint them back later. RWB's have Black rims, at least you don't have to find the right shade of Black to go back it's just black, and besides never think of resale value unless you own a 60's muscle car. I have the gray rims on my red 07, which I hate (i could have lived with the black ones)anyway I sent them out for chrome today, I should have them in 8 weeks.
I can guarantee you 100% that the 5th and 6th gen front wheels are identical... no difference whatsoever EXCEPT that if your 6th gen has ABS there will be no ABS ring on a 5th gen front wheel... nor on non-ABS 6th gen front wheels... apart from that they are 100% compatible... no other gen front wheel will be plug and play.
Just keep in mind that the axle spacers (one is shorter than the other) go the other way around from the 5th to the 6th gen.
5th gen. wheels (front & back) should be a direct bolt-on. To my knowledge the only CBR front wheel that'll fit the 6th gen. is the F4's (but keep in mind it's a 3 spoker.)
Before you take a wheel to the powder coater, take it to a reputable shop and have it checked out. I once heard of a guy that paid $300 on a used 4th gen. 8 spoker and then spent another $200 to get it chromed. Guess what he found out when he put the wheel on? It wasn't straight. He took it to a shop to see if they could fix it and they couldn't. He was stuck with a $500 wheel he couldn't use.

Yep 100% the CBR 600 F4 wheel 3 spoke fits 5th Gen. vfr rotors will fit it too. But you have to use the original axle spacers
I used my hossackviffer front wheel when doing a track day.
The CBR600F3 wheel will fit, but you have to use the F3 rotors. The F3 wheel is the same as the 4th gen VFR wheel, and they share rotors. 5th & 6th gen rotors will NOT bolt up to the F3/4th gen VFR wheels.
Since the F2/F3 use the same axle size, this information also confirms the axle being the same size from 1990 -current on the CBR600F2/F3/VFR 3rd/4th/5th/6th gen.
The F2 and 3rd gen VFR use a mechanical speedo drive. The CBR drove the speedo from a mechanical gear drive mounted on the axle, while the 90-93 VFR drove the speedo mechanically from the countershaft sprocket. While their wheels are not identical, they do use the same rotors.
