Lowside check out the classifieds

I had a low speed low side from a person who wanted to slam on their brakes for a pedestrian who was not even planning to cross in a crosswalk. The pedestrian told me that he did not understand what the driver in front of me was doing. The crosswalk wasn't lit and the pedestrain was not anywhere near the edge of the road. There were tire marks from the car going through the crosswalk. I got a ticket for inattentive driving, but luckily it was on base so there wasn't any fines or criminal charges. The cops didn't want to ticket me, but they said they had no choice because there had been an accident and I was the one in the backWell, I decided not to claim this one on the insurance and pay to replace the parts. The other driver said she would take care of her car and didn't even ask if I was okay until 20 minutes after the accident. And it was only in response to me asking if she was okay. I have been riding for 11 years with my license and this is my first accident on the bike. I hope that it will the equal amount of time before the next one. I wanted to claim against her insurance, but since the cops issued me the ticket, I don't think I will win. I have already replaced the farings and I am giving them away in the classifieds.

I've only had one accident, too (a low-side like yours.) I wasn't as lucky.

As has been said many times before, the cagers are all out to kill every one of us. We have to be sure not to give them any opportunity to do so. Not as easily done as said.

She was probably texting or updating her Facebook status and looked up and startle-stopped because she saw someone near the road. Ugh!!

Since I've been riding again it's downright scary how many times I pass cars on the slab and looked over to find them more interested in their Iphones than driving their cars :pissed: :pissed: :pissed:

Thanks for all of your support. I consider myself pretty lucky to get off like I did. I have had a lot of pucker moments at the track and on back roads in Texas's hill country and on Arizona's 191 that could of turned out worse. Just recently I rode the bike up to Flagstaff and road over some black ice when it was about 14 degrees outside, it was definitly a little nerve racking for the second or two without traction. I usually work nights and I was riding at about 3am. The temperature made me rethink getting some heated gear as my hands and feet were very cold. I guess I should count my blessings to be in such a minor accident. I have seen a lot of other crashes of people who weren't so lucky. I have a lot of respect for motorcycling and I would definitly miss it if I couldn't do it anymore. Thanks again. I hope some one could use these farings, I think it would be a shame to chuck them.
