I guess that means I have no choice but to keep mine now. Even with my trade in I owe slightly more than that on it and it's collecting miles pretty fast when the weather is cooperative.
Oh well, makes good deals for others which may mean more of them on the road so people don't say "you ride a what?!?" when I tell them about my bike.

Best bike for the money. I bought my RWB (new in crate) in Oct '09 for $7400 and it's absolutely the best purchase I've ever made.
Saw that and thought it was cool. I think that "Best Bargain" sidebar had more actual information than the so-called VFR1200 "First Ride" piece it was next to.
Technically, the '07s have been selling for less than that for a while now, but it was good to see the story. Naturally, I was sure to show it to the wife to help justify my somewhat impulsive purchase of the RWB last month... "But hunny, they were on SALE!" :goofy:

Was all ready to plunk down money on a VFR1200 when I came to a realization that the damn thing wasn't worth 20grand. So 7499+tax and warranty and I got me a new 07.

I got lucky I guess. Dealer had one on order when I called and I happened to get dibs.

That's what I thought, too, since I bought the last one at the dealer I visited - but oddly, they are still out there. :rolleyes:
The guys in Searcy, AR and Cherry Hill, NJ have been selling RWBs on eBay for a while and still have some advertised... I guess as reddog alluded to, they are still trickling out of warehouses. Interesting.

I bought the last one from the dealer I got mine from, too. He had 3 or 4 a couple of weeks prior, then when I had my funds secured, he only had 1 left. Thankfully it was ABS.

I don't find it all that sad - but I'm glad I didn't buy one as a speculative investment.
I don't think I've ever bought a bike(or car)for anyting other than I like it. Maybe the RWB's can start a annual meet(with all other VFR's invited of course).

You know, you could buy one with full touring gear, abs, bags, etc. and one to strip down for sport, and you might have enough money leftover for a torocharger (when complete) for the sport version. As compared with the price of the 1200.
BTW, does anyone know how many RWB's were produced?
