Gearing

Hoping for some ideas..
i was thinking about changing my sprocket size. Due to Ontario law (50k over) No Point in going 250kms + on the hwy's. What would be a good combonation of teeth to get a better bottom gearing without losing to much top end. Should i add to just the rear sprocket eg. 46 teeth or is it better to change front or both..

Do a search bro. I can tell you first hand that there is a bunch of hot topics already out there that offer exactly what you are looking for to include pics, prices, specs, detailed information ect. ect.

Type in sprocket or gearing or peen to get a list of threads. Should get what you are looking for.

It all depends on how much change you are looking for.

I went up two teeth on the rear sprocket, which is slightly less of a change than going down one on the front. It's a nice subtle change that gives the bike a bit better drive off the corners and better overall acceleration without giving up anything in the way of everyday rideability.

I think going down one tooth on the front is probably the most popular gearing mod.

Thanks for the info.. still new to site figuring how to get around it... Computers are not my Forte... Heading to Bike show in Toronto again in two weeks lets see what Santa can buy him self as a late christmas present... :rolleyes:
