Turbo City FPR on an 07 RWB

Tried the search... didn't quite find the answer.
Sent out a few PMs... didn't get an answer.
Emailed Turbo City... been about two weeks with no response.

Currently in Iraq or I would call. Does anyone know if the Turbo City FPR that says 02-06 on their Website, will it fit on an 07 RWB?

I think that they just haven't updated the site since 06 is all.
They're all the same as far as fitment. Not 100% sure about the pressure though, but if I was a betting man, I'd bet some money on it being the same as well.
I'll call them to make sure for ya.

Yes it will fit all VTEC models to the present day.


I ordered mine directly off their site, no problems.

WHat does this mod actually do?? Do I need a Power Commander to take advantage of the fpr??

FYI Im a VFR Noob. Just picked a 05 up yesterday. Traded it for my WR450F :biggrin:

No, you don't need a PC to install the FPR. The FPR bumps your fuel pressure up.

BTW, welcome to the site!! You're not too far from me, I'm about 45min south of you, near Catskill! Post up an introduction thread with some pics of your new bike! :fing02:

No, you don't need a PC to install the FPR. The FPR bumps your fuel pressure up.

Raises fuel pressure from 36 to 42 PSI, allowing more fuel to be sprayed with each injector pulse.

Do not need a Power Commander. Stock ECU is fine. Actually, it's an alternative to a Power Commander.

No adjustability, but also a lot cheaper and less fiddly. :comp13:

Totally works. I've had one on my bike for years. The increased fuel pressure means that you get more fuel through the injectors each time they pulse open.

Lessens the snatchy throttle at low speeds, and richens the mixture across the board.


Of course, you cannot fine-tune the map like a Power Commander does, but there's absolutely ZERO ways for it to screw up.
Unlike many threads I've seen where people are running around in circles trying to diagnose drivebility problems with a Power commander.

So, would it be possible to put on a set of Staintunes and the TC FPR and have the bike run safely? Meaning, no engine damage from lean fueling due to the new exhaust. I realize that the PC is the way to go for optimum advantage with the aftermarket exhaust, but I'm curious about drive-ability and reliability. I'll be following this topic as it has my curiosity peaked. Also, will the TC FPR still have the same curing effect on the low end snatchyness (<may not be a word) with the edition of the aftermarket pipes? For reference I have an 07 RWB.

Ok, so a question just occured to me. Just how effective is a TC FPR on a VTEC?
Bear with me here for a sec.
I'm a recovering fuel injected Fox Mustang geek. One of the popular quick mods is to replace the stock FPR with an adjustable one, for pretty much the same reasons people buy the TC FPR. Richen up the air fuel ratio. Add more fuel, increase your timing, get more power - easy enough. But one thing many people didn't take into account is that Ford put alot of thought into the EEC IV - computer controlling the engine's fuel injection. Basically what would happen is you would install the new FPR on the car, increase the pressure and go on your merry way. But then the computer keeps looking at data being sent to it by the O2 sensors. The O2 sensors are saying the AFR is rich. Can't have that. Shorten the pulse width on the injection cycle until things get back into spec. Proper AFR is reached, and all is well with the EEC's world again.
The increased pressure is now a moot point.
The VTEC has 02 sensors. Is the computer doing the same thing or is the computer not smart enough to figure it out and/or able to do something about it? I'm genuinely curious because I don't know how capable the fuel injection is on these little beasties.

The Honda MC FI is not as sophisticated as the FI in a Mustang.

It only runs in closed-loop mode under certain conditions, mainly for emissions testing purposes and MPG.

If you put in a set of O2 eliminators (basically 330 Ohm resistors), you fool the computer into running in open loop mode 100% of the time, and it's only referencing the stored map, RPM, temp, baro sensor, TPS, etc.

So increasing the fuel pressure WILL result in more fuel being delivereed with each injector pulse.

So, in order for the FPR to work you need to disconnect the O2 sensors too? Did I read that right?

How come this mod isn't very popular, this is the first that I have heard of it. The rock that I crawled out from under wasn't that big. Very curious actually even though I'm not having any throttle issues... I think.

We had TONS of posts about this mod back when it first became available.

My guess is that was before you joined VFRd?


I've been running mine for years now, and am very happy with the results for the money spent.

Could you tune a PC better? Well, with time, money and a dyno (or the new PCV with auto-learn) YES, absolutely.


But when I bought my TCFPR, they were on sale for $99, introductory pricing.



Amount I've had to fiddle with it since install = zero.

Number of FI lights blinking at me indicating some sort of fault = zero.

Amount of surging and bucking at ANY throttle opening, gear selection or RPM = zero.


Does it run a tad rich? Judging by my finely calibrated nose, yes. The sparkplugs and exhaust outlets bear this out also.

But I don't camp out behind my bike, inhaling deeply, and the plugs don't foul, and I'm still getting 43 MPG or better, so in the immortal words of Alfred E. Neuman:

Oh, and in the + department, the throttle response is wonderful, not laggy, and not so snatchy at low revs and part throttle.

On/off throttle transitions at low speeds are quite a bit smoother, which was one complaint leveled at FI bikes as they made the transition from carbs in the late '90s.

Modern sportbikes with multiple injectors and dual throttle butterfiles, more sophisticated ECU's are worlds better in this department.
