That's about what I pay for an off-the-shelf battery for my '98 VFR, after the core return credit.

The st1300 yuasa battery is identical size as the vfr battery.

220 cca plus . 2v more reserve power. Luv it!

Only problem I see is that its made in China. I wont buy another china made batterie. Went cheap last two batteries and both were made in China and kept on battery tender and both only lasted a year. Just my two cents.

Gonna bump this thread as I have a related question. I started shopping for batteries to see what my options are in case mine takes a dive this year. 2006 VFR but I run CB, GPS, powered tankbag for mp3 and/or cellphone recharge, and the bigy is gerbrings heated coat and/or gloves. I've not had any problems with power so far, the CB doesn't pull much, neither does the GPS. The heated coat and gloves pulls quite a bit.

How does the Yuasa battery stand up to the Bikemaster or other cheaper batteries. Is it worth it to go to a stronger battery?

The bikemaster is half the price of the yuasa on bikebandit.com right now, just curious.
