Hey All,
Can anyone confirm whether or not the airbox flapper hose can be used for the vacuum connection point to run the Scott Oiler. I'm having trouble understanding the company description (line under the tank) evap can line? (use the engine side) and thought I'd check here before calling...
Or, which line I'm looking for?
Thanks
UPDATE:
Got the answer from the boys in Glasgow...
as you know, Honda, as usual, has made the whole intake system somewhat over complicated on the VFR. California legal bikes also have extra pipes for the "EVAP" canister There are pipes everywhere and it's important to tee into a pipe that has sufficient vacuum to operate our Vsystem. However, here are a couple that you can use that are accessible. One comes from behind the the throttle pulley going upwards to a vacuum chamber (see attached photos) . The other is on the right hand side of the bike - between the air box and the main frame beam. It leads to the "white" side of a brown check valve ( to the rear of this check valve). The pipe forwards of this check valve holds residual vacuum (apparently, to aid hot starting). Do not tee into this pipe as your RMV will continue flow when the motor is switched off !
I hope this helps,
Regards,
