HOLY SCHNIKE!

Carnage on the first lap, major group crash!

Controversy following when Iannone passes on the yellow, misses the clue to fall back to P2, then gets a ride-through to finish 13th ultimately, when he had the race in hand!

Combustion when Canepa crashed and burned his bike to the ground!

And if that wasn't enough there was the finish line crash where Morales torpedoed Noyes from behind and went into the wall at top speed, the bike flipping and augering into his back!

Miraculously, Morales is alright with Dr. Claudio citing mere bruises and being "shaken up". :fing02: One tough cookie!! He's gonna feel it in the morning - maybe. I'm sure they gave him some nice droogs to take care of that...

I couldn't believe he was even moving after that, with the way the bike hit him and it looked like his neck had been reduced to jello. Glad he's only bruised up.

And how was Iannone supposed to fall back only 1 position with all 3 behind running wheel-wheel? Not that he was trying/understood the order but even if he did he would have been 4th not 2nd. Seems like an immediate ride through penalty or time penalty at the end of the race would be better/safer?

It was the first time watched a Moto2 race...I must say it was quite the introduction to the series! Pretty good show...I definitely will be paying more attention to Moto2 now!

That crash was absolutely horrible, I could hardly watch it...I was certain he was going to be dead or paralyzed after that!

He could have dropped to 4th and probably still won it! They quoted the rule book, and the officials acted exactly according to the letter of the law. Maybe they could have had better signage, but he should have been aware of the rule and acted in time to avoid the ride through, which proved to be very costly. I think the rule as written is better than a straight ride through, which can be far more costly for some infractions. Gain one spot, give one back... Not 16 or 17...
I think Antonio Banderas said a naughty word when he saw that wreck at the end! Glad the rider is ok, but I wish he would have been given his finishing spot... Sucks that he didn't get a race completion and top 10 finish after all that!

I couldn't believe the sign either, just write "DROP BACK TO 2ND"...... If he had to slow down to read it..... that probably would have put him down anyway.... But that was retarded.......... and why was the yellow out so long on that turn....... looked like it was cleared .... maybe not?

The entire Moto2 season has been absolutely cracking! :fing02:

3, 4, 5 wide coming into corners, passing on the outside, block passing while backing it in, Cra-zee stuff!!!

What a terrible crash at the end. Morales' body looked like a rag doll in a clothes dryer I am absolutely amazed he was not seriously injured or even killed especially after watching the bike flip around and practically land on him.

He DID get the front tire right square in his back as the bike was tumbling.

I'm pretty sure he lost consciousness there for a bit... would explain the limp body... don't know if y'all saw him afterward but he was kind of spasming and his rear legs were flailing around... his central nervous system went into shock... very lucky man indeed... very odd accident, the bike in front hardly even budged

Here's hoping he gets well soon...

It's a real spectacle but I wonder if there's too many bikes in Moto2... several of those riders should be in MotoGP... where there's a lack of bikes... they should spread the joy!!
