maintenance

i just purchased a 2005 vfr 800 interceptor this is a bike i have NO CLUE on how to adjust the chain ???!! can any one guide me thrfough this processe please..

Everything is listed in the service manual and I have provided a download link below. Do you have a chain spanner tool? It has a large cresent shaped head and flat handle.

im not really sure??? i just have the tools that came under the seat ..

i downloaded your user guide and found what i have been looking for :-) thank you so much !!! this will help me greatly and i will check in the morning if i have the spanner tool or not . thank you so much again..

All motorcycles should be so easy to adjust the chain.

Just remember...if given the choice between tight and loose, always choose loose.

this i know from exp.. and a long time of riding .thank you ..it is always a great reminder and advice . any advice on a possible chain replacement ?? my last bike i installed a quad x ring chain due to the amount of travel i do per week and i was very satisfied
