Linked brakes
The front wheel has to turn (or at least exert force) against a braking left front caliper to send pressure to the back. Compare the left and right front calipers and all the extra goings-on on the left side may help explain.

You know, I've looked and looked at that darn thing and the light never went on as to just what I was looking at. Now that you mention "master cylinder" it all came together. I can be a tad bit slow at times. ThanksSpin the rear wheel and have an assistant push the left side front caliper towards the front. That is the secondary master cylinder for the rear brakes. You should see this stops the rear wheel.

Spin the rear wheel and have an assistant push the left side front caliper towards the front. That is the secondary master cylinder for the rear brakes. You should see this stops the rear wheel.
You may want to delink your thinking brakes :biggrin:
