Tonight on the way to work my headlights and dash lights were flickering. When I switched to high beams it stopped. The last few nights that I've rode the high beams would flicker too though. They don't go dark, just dim and bright back and forth. Tell me it's just a loose wire or bad ground, not my r/r or stator. Thanks in advance.

my 2000 does that sometimes when I switch from lo to hi beam. I think it is a common problem in the switch housing. fille with the switch while you are riding to see if that is it.

It could be the switch, she got parked outside for a while this spring and summer. I have had a few times switching to dims that the lights just completely go out, but usually a quick switch back and forth cures it. I would love if it were that simple.

When I downshifted the lights brightened back up and stayed for a while. This happened twice, everytime I downshifted on the way to work. Any reason to suspect r/r or stator?
