So I am scouring some Japanese sites thinking I will find something available there. Frustratingly there are tons of 18 x 4.5 VFR400R wheels out there for under $100. And this one beauty:

Somehow I don't think this is really worth $1000...is it?

Unless you're planning to convert your rear drive to the single-nut style, you will need to look for a wheel from a 1990-1993 VFR750.

I have one, but I'm not sure if I want to sell it, so I haven't advertised it.

If you are willing to pay $1000 for an 8-spoke rim + swing arm modification costs then you really need to be looking at these:
Carrozeria

No modifications to your bike need be made. No tire aspect ratio changes to deal with. Lighter rims. And totally sexy. Sure it costs $2450 but that's for front and back rims with everything you need to mount it to your bike. If I had the money I wouldn't hesitate.

Frankly, I just don't get the appeal of the 8-spoke wheels anyway. But that's just me.

Huh...they used to have a VFR sized rim. At least it's a 17" wheel....

Well, I guess if you wanna sell it you have a pre-set buyer right here ;o)

No, especially considering I'd give you the one I have sitting on the floor in my shop for free! It is slightly bent though....

The one pictured is actually a 17x5.5 size. Just to clarify.

Yeah, didn't look like an 18 to me. Probably an RC45 wheel then, that may help justify the high price as I'm sure they're pretty rare.

IF you can get them to ship to you, OR get a UK member to buy and ship to you, here you go.

90-93 rear wheel

Another one.

Good looking out!

I'm also very interested in an eight spoke wheel. If anyone has one that they would like to sell, please contact me and maybe we can work something out.
Thanks,
