I'm looking to purchase a VFR800. I found this on Craigslist. What do you think?

2007 Honda VFR800A Interceptor ABS Red. Double bubble windshield, fender eliminator, Honda extended warranty good through April 15, 2013! Just a little over 3015 miles. Always garaged and dealer serviced, never down. You won't find a cleaner VFR anywhere. Serious inquiries only.

Not a lot of miles for sure. It does seem a bit pricey though since I bought my brand new 07 in 08 for $9k delivered taxes included. (no ABS though)

sounds pretty decent, maybe pricey, so you gotta shop around. :biggrin:

Though at 3015 miles "always dealer serviced" probably just means the 600-mile chain and steering head adjustment. Big whoop.

Last couple of years you could find 0-mile leftovers in dealers for that price or better (don't ask how I know... :comp13: ) Not sure if that is the case anymore or not.

It's a gorgeous bike. If it feels good, do it. :fing02:

What do I think?

I don't like fender eliminators...otherwise it is decent.

I think it's a little pricey. Not crazy pricey, but a little. But then again, I practically stole my 07 RWB w/ABS in late 09 for $6999.

If you even remotely think you might want to do any touring on it, get one with the hard bags. Or budget for a set of OEM or givi luggage afterwards. I run soft bags on mine, but there's no security like the hard cases.

And from watching prices it seems VFR's with bags can be had for less than the price of a VFR and buying the bags after the fact, at least with OEM ones.

It is low miles and has ABS assuming you are looking for ABS. It really isn't that bad of a price and the seller does say "asking" so you migh have some wiggle room. I'm assuming it's relatively close to you.

I've been looking for 2007 and 2008 VFR with ABS for a while now.

RWB bikes are absolutely gorgeous. The metallic in the paint and stickers is just beautiful in person.

ABS is also an amazing feature that is well worth it.

However, that price seems a bit high. If you can get it out the door for around $7,000 go for it!

Pricey.

I bought my 2005 with 4,250 miles with ABS for $4,250. Was a steal of deal, bargains are to be had.

I'd say the price is about right for a dealer, but not for a private sale. The seller should be prepared to negotiate. I just picked up my 2006 a few weeks ago for $6500 at a dealer. It has 6k miles on it and is bone stock - even still had the warning sticker on the tank.

I bought a zero miles 2007 leftover last year (in 2010) for $6499. I had to go pick it up from a couple states over, but made a fun road trip out of it.

You should make a lower offer as a starting point at least - maybe $7k sounds about right.

But at the same time - its summer, if you like the bike/condition and have the $$ - dont over think it and just pull the trigger and ride!

$.02 (also tricky to give feedback on pricing)

UPDATE - whoops - I just noticed that bike has ABS - worth the extra bucks and I would have paid another $500 easy so I say its about right for a lower mileage summer pricing. Go for it!!

I bought my 07 RWB in 2011 with 6800 miles for $4500 pp no ABS, stock.
