gsxr mirrors

HI I'm new to this site,
I'm looking to change the mirrors on my vtec to gsxr ones, I had seen pictures of this mod but I'm unsure of what I need to carry this out!!
if any could advise me what I need or where i can get the mounts from that would be great

Hi Steve, welcome to the site.

One of our members had a custom run done of machined mirror bases that enabled matching the GSXR mirrors and stalks to the VFR.

He doesn't hang around here anymore, unfortunately, so you're sort of on your own.

There are some aftermarket mirrors on Ebay that have sigal lights built into them, I can't speak for the quality, as I haven't used any of them myself.........

I was lloking to do this very modification, once upon a time, and was gathering parts and the motivation to fart around with it.  Then a fellow forum member who doesn't procrastinate like I do, took the initiative and had a production run made of these mounts for all who were interested at the time.  The hero's name was DarthBling!  I was more than happy to give up on my inventing quest and buy the mounts from him.

gerrys02800 is working on getting another production run (possibly for other owners as well) of DB Gixxer mirror mounts for the VTEC VFR using my (still unmounted) set from the original production run as a master to copy from.

Perhaps if all those who are interested can form here and make a list, then Gerry and the rest of you can benefit from a volume discount with the production run.

I think Gerry was looking at a few options for who can build these again.

Not sure if it can be incorporated into the design, but I do recall a few people who did this mod before using the DB mounts commented that the mounting angle was perhaps not optimal as it left some riders of different heights unable to adjust the mirrors as much as they required.  At least one rider returned set-up to stock because of this.  I believe most people were able to adjust the mirrors enough to work.  Not sure where the original discussion thread lies.
