Was just looking to see if any 6th Gen'rs have any upper fairings laying around in scratched/slightly but not cracked condition? Figured it's worth a shot while I'm looking for one. As long as its compatible to my 2002 i'm good with it. Mine is cracked and was just looking for a new one. No rush and really don't want to spend a lot of money on a new one or overpriced fleabay model. It's gonna be spray can painted to match my metallic black VFR.
If not any recommendations in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks guys and gals.
I have an 06' pearl white upper with some rash on the left side just chillin in the garage not cracked (if i remember right one of the attachment points on the back side is broken off). Will need some filler and sanding. Also a left side with the rear upper rear mounting point busted also with some rash. And... a tail fairing with some swirl marks on it, with the rear cowl in almost perfect condition. I origionally planned on repairing it all myself and having it sprayed but my insurance hooked me up quite nicely so I bought all new parts. I don't have any pics here at work but I can upload some later.

Does anyone know if the 06 upper cowl is compatible with the 02 model?
I believe that they are the same.
If you can't find a replacement, bring it to me and I'll glue it together for ya for free. Just fixed my old side ferrings with good results and have some PlastiFix left over.

Yep, all bodywork is the same other than color and decals 02-09.
I have either 2 RH and 1 left, or 1 RH and 2 left panels. They are not broken from what I can remember, but the prev owner did scratch them. I got all 3 panels for free. So, if you are really in an bind and and want to pay the freight from me to you I can send you the extra panel I have. No charge on the panel.

Smitty, if your asking me to post some photos I have to say 'sorry man" as the extra panel I have is going to be lent to a fellow VFRD member so they can practice repair and painting before he does his bike. I figured it be easier to make erros on mine than his plastic.
