Hiya, guys!

I recently took a chance on buying a pair of 2004 VFRs that weren't in perfect shape, but the deal was fantastic!

Long story short, I did a miniscule amount of work and got one of them up, running, and out the door.. It's in the garage, titled, and tagged.. :)

The second one, however, wouldn't fire.. I tracked it down to the P.O. having cut 3 of the wires out of the connector between the main harness and the front fairing harness.. My question is, is there a source for the actual metal clips that go into the connectors?I need 3 of them to properly repair the harness.. It starts and runs now, but I'd like to do it right.. I also need some of the the terminal connectors for the headlights, as a couple of them are kind of rough on the bike..

Also, I'm missing a lot of small parts on this bike and I figured I'd throw it out for anyone who wight have these to spare..

Needed: dash trim, mirrors, upper fairing trim that covers the mirror mounts, the couple of trim pieces that fit under each side of the front of the seat that mount with those plastic clips.. I'm also needing the passenger grab bars..

Welcome and glad to hear about your find. Pictures Pictures Pictures. Most of us are simpleton's and can't make sense of much with out pictures.

Post up some photos and you will find what you need. Ebay has a ton of parts for VFR's that have been trashed.

Will work on some pics tomorrow..

On another note, any guesses as to why the fans wouldn't turn on on my bike even at like 220 or so degrees?

You may have problems finding the wiring lugs mainly because honda etc tend to have specific types that are only sold to them & they only sell full harness as spares (but you might be lucky & someone has found them). If you just have a cut wire solder together with heat shrink then is like factor. But if same harness as headlight connectors it maybe better to find a new front harness.

Your fairly lucky all those parts your after are the most inexpensive parts OEM from honda, except the pillion handles, hunt around Ebay & wreckers you never know.

Missing fuse for fan or the fan connector is unplugged.  It's a black two-pin connector that pops out of the left-side of the frame and plugs directly into the fan and thermoswitch.  It's a dedicated switched circuit which is activated by the coolant thermoswitch in the left-side radiator.  The power for this is provided directly from the ignition barrel (purple wire) into a 20 amp fuse in the fusebox in the front-right of the bike just above the ECU.

Found out the bottom mount for the radiator was tweaked a bit, causing the fan to be caught against the motor block.. it couldn't spin at all, and I'm assuming it is probably burned up.. Won't spin even when jumped on.. So I suppose I will be looking for a new fan soon.. They sure aren't cheap.. heheh.. I'm wondering if a VTR motor would it in the fan bracket..

On another note, does anyone happen to have a spare right side (as sitting on the bike) fairing in Asphalt Black? Or a lower fairing (between the side fairings, and behind the front wheel)? Not lookin' for a freebie.. Just trying to get my black bike sale worthy..
