Leo Vince Advice?

Hey all, I just got my SBK Aluminum Conical ends and decided to install them myself.  It was all pretty straight forward but now that it's all done it seems that the pipes sit extremely close the the indicator lenses, so close there is actually little burns spots on the very bottom excess portion of the whole light assembly.  I can upload pictures later tonight's if needed. Anybody else have this problem? Is it normal as there is no heat shield?

Also, I didn't use ALL the bushings/washers that hold the muffler to the tail because theredidnt seem to be enough length of bolt.  Maybe this is why?  Ill keep an eye on it for now but if it gets any worse there will be some tweaking needed.

I just did an installation a couple of weeks ago on the Leo Vince carbon canonical tip- it too seemed close to the tail light plastic, so i tried to shift it more away by loosening it. I also did use the bushings in place of the rubberized part.  I haven't ridden it yet, as my rear tire is flat and needs replacing.  Sounds sweet though!  Good luck!

I have the evo2 carbon pipes with the conical ends and there is about 10mm clearance between the muffler and the plastic of the lense.
There are a few things to look out for.
Make sure you take out the rubber bushings from the sub-frame and use the aluminium ones supplied, and use all the spacers.
The bolt is long enough but its a bit difficult to compress the clamp while maintaining alignment of the mufflers. I found that if you spray some silicone on the muffler body it allows you to align the muffler after you have the nut on the clamp.
Another thing is to make sure you have pushed the riser pipe right onto the header pipe as far as you can. I have motad headers and had to cut off 10mms, but with the OEM headers it should be OK.
Also the bracket that adapts to the footpeg mount needs a little twisting to get it perfect.
The holes in the muffler clamps are slotted to allow some vertical movement to get the clearance to the taillight lens, so if the assembly is pushed right onto the headers, all should be OK.
Here is a little tip, when you have it all aligned perfectly, drill a 5mm hole through the hanger brackets next to the main mounting bolt and put in one of the spare 5mm stainless socket head bolts. This is to hold the muffler clamp secure when you remove the main mounting bolt, so that you dont lose the muffler alignment every time you loosen the main mounting bolt

Where did you buy your exhaust at? This is the system I want to put on mine when the $$$ comes my way. Been lusting for awhile now!

Thanks for the tips guys... turns out with further inspection that the spots I though were burns turned out to be a little grease I got on it reassembling it :P and gamecock I bought mine through motorcycle-superstore.com.  I called to order and the guy I talked to gave a coupon, after taxes and free shipping it was $513 and some odd change. Didn't take anymore than two weeks for delivery. The carbons are a good $200 more.

I'm planning to place an order soon.  Does anyone have a picture of all the parts before installing?  Oddly enough, I can't find a picture.  A copy of the instructions would be nice, too, but it's not really important.
