I'm installing a brake modulator and wanted to know if there's anything I should be aware of before I go ahead. This is the one I'm installing: http://www.kapscomot..._p/pw-13001.htm
Question: Does splicing into one of the lights mean that only one of the lights is affected by the flasher? I'm interested in installing a brake modulator myself but would like for both bulbs to flash in unison.
I too am interested in a brake light modulator but I'm finding that there are several available and that the prices vary. I see the Signal Dynamics XP Back-Off is popular http://signaldynamic...emart&Itemid=77 there's the one above which is half the price http://www.kapscomot..._p/pw-13001.htm and I also found this tiny modulator http://www.xdponline...402c882d3247583
What are my fellow 6th Gen VFR lovers favoring? My primary criteria are; relatively easy install, long life of flasher unit, and being able to have both brake bulbs flash. Thanks for any advice.
I can speak to the Signal Dynamics.
Both bulbs flash in a Wig Wag pattern for XXseconds then Three longer simultaneous flashes, then solid until the lever(s) are released.
Installed probably 3 years ago. Hasn't failed or burned a bulb.

Don't forget to headlight Mod.
There are 2 patterns you choose between at installation of the SD wig wag. Really easy to install on 5th Gen. Connecting such tiny wire gauges and length of wires were only issues.
