I noticed this the first time I got on the bike and started to accelerate. Whenever the throttle is opened, I hear a "burp" sound coming from the airbox. I assumed this was the flapper, so I figured it would go away after I removed and plugged the vacuum line, but it didn't.
Does anyone know what this noise is? I looked over my airbox and everything is sealed properly, and it only happens when initializing the throttle, not during acceleration.
Thoughts?

Did you plug the right line?
I can't think of what else it would be, but I know if I'm timid with the throttle and trawling around I can hear the flapper open/close/open/close repeatedly.

Haha, yes, right line is plugged. :)
I wonder if the flapper valve is still moving with the inflow of air and if I should just remove the whole assembly all together. I would assume though that with the vacuum line removed it should be stuck in the open position.
My 06 does this as well. Before and after I plugged the vacuum line. Hmmmmm...
I taped the flapper in the open position with some gaffers tape and pulled the vacuum actuator out completely and taped over the hole too. I also de-snorkeled the air box for good measure...idigestion all gone!

That makes me think my initial thought of the flapper still opening and closing from the inlet pressure is correct.
Why did you tape over the hole for the actuator though?
