I recently sold a '99 Triumph Sprint ST and was looking for a replacement bike (used). Although I don't commute to an office, I use my bike to visit project sites in north California about 4 days a week. I found a used 2002 with approximately 17k on the clock. Looked and ran great (some scratches and a small ding on the tank from a driveway tip over), so I purchased it for $3500.

It wasn't advertised with ABS so I didn't think it was fitted with this option - but when I took it for a test drive I saw the "ABS" light on startup. Looked at the sticker and it is a VFR800A. I was pretty happy.

Pretty awesome day. Also, the bike was located 1.5 hours north of me - through wine country no less. Got the ride the bike home for a solid 3 hours while touring some fantastic roads and even a stop at Hannah Winery with my wife for a glass of wine.

Oh, and I'm new here.  :-)

LOL.....I know. Not posting pics was pretty shabby of me.

Interestingly, it has a "Two Brothers" 4 into 1 aftermarket exhaust on it but but it is disguised as a 4 into 2; the second "canister" is actually a storage compartment. That freaked me out when he fired up the bike and I didn't feel any exhaust from on elf the cans. He saw my puzzled look and let flounder for just a bit before he said, "Its fake."

Now I am just looking for some hard bags.  :-)
