Can I buy just a mirror stem for a 6th gen?

Currently riding without the right mirror, and dont want to be in this mode for long.

OEM mirrors are a complete unit - and $96.50!

I just need a stem.  The rest of the mirror is perfectly fine.  I will look for someone to weld, but the stem snapped right at the base where it attaches to the bolt/mirror mount.

Is it possible to replace the stem only?

I'm thinking if you were able to pop the joint to remove the old and replace the new(if it can be done), then you have the problem of a loose joint, and trying to keep the mirror from moving on it's own. JMHO.......

I would really like to see your "20077" VFR, can it fly? (garage)

I have only had them break in the stem. The price you quote is complete rip off, they are usually about $65-70, still a rip off. I suggest EMGO. I get mine from StarCycle in Lebec, CA, via the internet. They are $30+ shipping, about $5. I cannot tell them apart from the OEM.

There is a very good chance you can have it welded. I have had two repaired and with a little black paint, you never even see the weld.

Thanks all, you guys are awesome.  If I can find a welder I will try that.  Otherwise will try the EMGO.

(yep, as it turns out that 2077 VFR CAN fly!  ;)  )
