I just installed the Leo Vince Evo 2 cans. I love the look and sound, but it runs really poorly without the DB killers installed, which obviously defeats the purpose. So, I guess it's time for a PCV. I was looking at their website, but it's not clear to me if you can switch maps on the fly (it may be nice on longer rides to put the DB killers in - does anyone know if this is an option?
Also, what else is recommended to change besides an upgraded air filter? I don't want to mess with the PAIR valve or O2 sensors unless it's really necessary. In short, I'm not trying to go crazy here, just smooth it out and enjoy my new cans.

From the research that I did, in order to get the proper readings on the Dynometer you'll need to disable or remove the PAIR valve system. If you plan on just using an off the shelf map, or someone else map, then you should not need to worry about it. The O2 sensor eliminators are a must though. And yes, with the PCV you can toggle between two maps using a contact closure switch. However, if you use the Auto Tune module, then you'll lose the ability to run two maps, as the AT module takes the second map location. Here is a post I did showing how I put in a toggle switch that works with the PCV and did not require any drilling or a lot of money.

PC 5? I have to ask , if the bike is stock, whats wrong with the stock map they provide for the stock bike, thats where Most their engineering effort is applied to. If they cant get that right, that doesnt say much for their product.

Agreed. I've been on the "hamster wheel of pain" regarding tuning since 2010. I purchased a PCV, Autotune, Motad headers, and had a custom tune done, all on the original 2002 ECU.
Since then I've dropped in a 2006 model ECU, kept all the mods (Staintunes, K&N, Motad headers) and completely removed the PCV and the Autotune. Bike runs f*cking fantastic.
The more research I do on EFI tuning, the more I believe that the Powercommander really can't fix what we want it to fix, and that's jerky throttle response. IMHO, it only "works" at large throttle positions where the ECU is in Alpha-N mode, because the Powercommander is also an Alpha-N (throttle position-RPM) device.
When you get down to small throttle positions on the bike, the ECU is a Speed-density system (Manifold pressure-RPM). After all this time, I have decided that overlaying an Alpha-N map adjustment over a Speed-Density controlled fuel mixture is a roll of the dice. It may work, but for which gear, and what altitude?
Ergo, I say only a full replacement ECU like a Motec using a wideband O2 sensor for true closed-loop mixture control will really provide a *proper* fix for low-speed jerky throttle response. However if yours has been tuned with a Powercommander and works well, keep it that way!
So, like, Kaldek, is your PCV for sale to another member who might be interested in getting a good deal? :-)...and completely removed the PCV and the Autotune...
