Oh...I didn't see a way to edit the original post, but I do have the passenger grab rails (but not the bolts for them - I am sure I can get these from Home Depot).
Oem bags come complete with (longer) bolts and spacers for the grab bars, and a new heavey duty fender backer. I like the looks, paint colour, fit and finish of the bags... also looks of spare keys are included with them all keyed alike.
Correct me if I'm wrong. I think the only aftermarket exhaust that works with OEM bags are staintunes and maybe 2 others. The mounting brackets definitely don't look like they are going to work with that exhaust. The brackets are slanted \ / like the stock exhaust. The Two Brothers cans are pretty fat.

I have the Givi V35 setup and the racks come with all the bolts needed to hook it up so you won't have to run to Home Depot. And as you can see in this pic I have a custom set of pipes hooked up with the fender eliminated and no clearnce issues.

I had a similar dilemma this winter. Go with OEM or other cases. I choose to go with GIVI V35 with GIVI PLX166 rack. I had a fender eliminator and never liked it nor did it look good or legal with the new rack added. I decided to order and install a new rear fender so that it looked better, IMHO, and legal. I mean legal because the tag and tag light were behind the rear plate when the PLR166 rack was installed. I have posted some pictures here to help show you what I mean.

I paid more than I planned, but considering the last 2 sets locally were $575 and both a 6-8hour drive away The total cost of the full set was only $300ish more than just the sidecases set locally.

A quick look at the underside should tell you if it can be done. If the above isn't quite enough, and if you or your buddy has a welder, you can extend the mounting brackets and drill new holes. Make it all match by adding spacers to the rearset mount point and make a longer bracket to mount behind the fender.

My Leo Vince Carbon exhausts fit perfectly fine without any adjustment needed, but if the exhaust gets too fat, it could have issues for sure.
Does anyone know the part number for the 2003 Silver bags? I'm trying to use their web site over at David silver spares but the only model that comes up is the 02.
if you drop the last 3 characters off the part number it'll return all of the color options they have. Silver is on there, but it's more expensive than the black or red if I remember correctly.
I have the Honda bags on my '07 with the Two Bros V.A.L.E. exhaust. From the Two Bros website, the width of the VALE is shown as 4.85", while the diameter of the Stash is shown as 4.5". Based on this info, you should be fine in the horizontal direction, not sure if there will be interference vertically.

That's cause they come over in a boat instead of a plane. It's just one more way to keep costs to a minimum after the items leave the labor camps.

Even if the price was similar to USA sources, back then we were getting them from DSS because they didn't have that big ugly reflector on them. I'm curious if they still come that way now.

Interesting. The price for my bags were $249GBP. They emailed me and gave me a cost of $117GBP for shipping - bringing my total to $366GBP. They stated that they don't charge VAT but were unsure if I had to pay import fees.

If you are not in the UK, you do not have to pay VAT. DSS should not tack this onto the final price for non-UK residents. I am certain they are 100% aware of this.

Another buyer of OEM luggage from the UK here. To anyone contemplating having it shipped to the U.S., learn from my mistake: Make sure they label the items as "motorcycle accessories", "motorcycle parts" or "motorcycle bodywork". Be sure the seller does not use the word "luggage" in the description. Be sure they agree to this when placing your order. When the boxes land in New Jersey to clear customs, FedEx or UPS is going to ring you and ask you "what's in the box". Do NOT use the world "luggage" when talking to them. The Fedex agent that processed mine just put down "luggage" and coded the customs form as "luggage" (the kind you'd put in the overhead on the airline), but of course didn't tell me this at the time. Hand luggage carries a 20% duty in to the US from England (while "motorcycle parts" are duty free). The Fedex agent was a nit-wit and I wasn't aware of the difference at the time. It was a royal PITA to get the $ back, but I finally did - though it took nearly a year. Save yourself the headaches and keep the word "luggage" off the customs form.
Installation has been done. The only problem I ran into was the bracket that goes behind the license plate holder is slightly different. My guess is the difference in plate size from US market to Euro market.
I received my set of panniers/saddlebags from David Silver Spares yesterday. Only took a few days to ship and everything came through just fine, well packaged, no damage at all. DSS was very good to deal with and for an overseas transaction everything went very smooth. I'd recommend them. I'll post some pictures after I install the bags.

Anyway, as you may recall, I was concerned about them working with my aftermarket exhaust because my cans seem too large. Well, they don't, really. Especially with the fender eliminator kit that the PO installed.
But, I prefer function over form so I forced them on. My cans may get a "little" dented, but I am ok with that. There are two rods that are supposed to connect to the fender. Well, I don't have a fender. And since my cans keep the rods from being able to connect tot plate they supplied without squeezing the cans further, I decided not to bother with it.
In short, my racks are connected at the passenger grab rail and passenger footage assembly only. They are resting on the cans (yes....physically touching them). I actually plan to have the connecting rods removed next week altogether.
Summary:

It's not pretty, but I love the bags so far.

I installed mine with Leo Vince Exhaust and did not have a problem at all. Like everyone here has said, leave all the bolt loose unit everything has been attached. This way you can make slight adjustments before tightening all the bolts. But you should be fine with an aftermarket exhaust.
