Running wires

Hey everybody! Quick question:

Where is the best place to run wires from the battery up to the dash region of the bike? I tried running a wire on the outside of the bike between the gas tank and the silver bar (the frame?) but it keeps slipping out. Hopefully there's a pipe/line of some sort for running wires.


TL;DR: How/Where do you run wires from the battery to the dash?

I lifted the front of the tank and ran wires zip tied to the air box tubes and other wires.  Dash wires into the top of the left fairing and under the dash.  Handle bar wiring followed existing wires.  Lots of zip ties.

I run mine up under the center of the tank. Make sure you address any sharp areas that may wear or chafe the wires.

They run parallel to the left side of the frame...i have slipped a wire organizer pipe and pass them all thru it...

I'll lift up the front end of the tank and see what space is available. Would it be possible to put a small piece of conduit there so I can run wires easier in the future?

Right now I'm also running the wire along the left side of the frame but not in an organizer. If I don't see enough room for wires under the tank I'll look into this method. Do you happen to have any pictures/tips/suggestions for this method?

Simple use the link brake tubing that is clipped to inside of frame (lift fuel tank you will see lines) to zip tie your wires to then come out with rest of harness LHS radiator & zip tie to that to dash.

:+1:    Roy is absolutely right - I've run at least three separate wires via the same path.
