Last night after finishing a few last details on the bike I finally got out and road my 2004 Vtec Track Pig again. http://www.vfrdiscus...ck-pig-project/
Most of you know the last time I road it (Oct. 9th,2009) was it's madin session at NSS where I High Sided it on lap 13 breaking both my legs.
I was a little uneasy at first as I rolled out of my driveway trying to feel out everything again. As time past I was thinking to myself "this thing is Quick", it pulls really strong. The F4i front and Ohlins rear are firm but controlled. Thanks to RUSH2112 I'm attending this weekends AMA SuperBike races at Barber(I'm stoked)
But as some of you know my 02 vtec is at the Dealer for the Harness Recall and I doubt it will be ready by this weekend SO i need to get another bike ready for my trip to Barber this Friday.
That is why I'm working on the track pig as an option. My other option is my brothers 01 VFR which has been sitting at my house since he crashed it in 2008.
More pics and update to follow!

Would be nice to head over there to check out the races and hang with ya Kev, but I think I'd much rather head to the mountains and try out my new Road 3! :tour:
I'm calling it AMA( at Barber) or Bust, trying to get a bike together to ride down to the races this Friday! :tour:
Option is the now ridden 04 track pig, no title yet and it still has a weird stumble under certain conditions where it falls on it's face for a 2k rpm ramge then picks upagain. Did teh same on track in 09. no problem in a straight line.
Think I'll dump the map and reload it (think it's Tinyminds catless map) and see what happens.

Option two is my brothers 01 that he crashed in 08 and been sitting here ever since. It only has 9k miles on it, but I haven't accessed full damage yet, might only be cosmetic. I slapped the cpu abd a battery back in and after 2 years of not being touched it looped to a smooth idle after only 5-6 secs of cranking! Amazing!!!

Rear wheel was trash as is the tail and fender, really surprised that the cpu wasn't damage as most impact was that area.

I have a wheel and can zoo the fender together for the trip, once I install a rear wheel I'll roll it out to check the crashed side and see what needs fixed.
You should probably take the 6th gen....I fear that if you actually ride a 5th gen in anger again you will just throw rocks at your 02 when it comes back from the wire doctor.
seriously, best of luck getting one together. have a blast at Barber and on the way there and back.

Looking like the 5th gen might be the best choice, at least I have a title for it.

That's certainly an unusual placement for the Honda wing on 5th gen's tank. Is there a story behind it?
Dumb azz painter couldn't figure out what direction was forward!
Same guy placed the wings on my vtec in the wrong place.
Fool me once same on you, fool me twice and I'm a moron!
Well what a pain! So with the desire to be legal I head to Motor Vehicle to renew the tags on my bro's bike and I can't !
I need a notarized POA from hi in CO to get new tags.
My tags say BLACK 02, my track vyec is red and my bros 5th is Gray.
on the plus side the Dealer said Honda is sending all new harnesses for my bike, but doesn't know when he'll get them. SLIGHT chance of a Friday finish!
