I have a 2004 ABS and it's due for the 24K mile service. My only experience with the one Honda dealer who is within reasonable distance of me wasn't good and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend either an independent mechanic or the service department at one of the dealers.
I've used Everett Powersports and have been happy with their work, when I called Ride Motorsports in Woodenville, they couldn't quote for time for a job, I don't like that, I like to know what I'm going to pay up front (barring any unforeseen issues). I'm planning on getting my chain and sprockets replaced and will use them.

Thanks for the tip, I agree with you about not wanting to use a dealer who won't give you an idea of what the service will cost.
I was hoping to find someplace closer to central Seattle. I went to University Honda with a couple of previous bikes before they closed down and it was great to be able to drop off the bike, walk to work and pick it up at the end of the day. I'll look around but maybe figuring out how to entertain myself in Everett for half a day would be okay, too.
As weird as this might sound, check on Yelp. I did a few forum searches with Q/A and then followed up on Yelp and found quite a few places that rated well on both the forums and Yelp. Be sure to read all of the reviews as sometimes the reviewer is just being spiteful or just plain clueless. Sometimes what they're griping about has nothing to do with customer service. There was one review of our Veterinarian where the reviewer was complaining about the decor! You're in a Vets office, what are you expecting? Most other reviewers raved about the staff and doctor's.
Thanks, Duc2V4. I've used Yelp for a lot of things but hadn't thought about trying it for VFR service. Yelp did come up with a pretty well recommended mechanic for general motorcycle service but he's also a very long way from where I live.
