Hello everyone..Just got a 97 VFR 750 for $100! My new past time is fixing it up now.

I am new to the forum world, so excuse my other post about CBR fairings..I hadn't done that much research and saw a VFR on utube with 03 fairings on it, that looked good. But now that i have the bike on my back porch I realize fairings are going to be the last thing I need to worry about! As of now i know:
Its been sitting for over a year, and only has been started once before the battery went dead.
It needs the fuel tank drained, and new fuel lines w/ filter.
new coolant bottle, and coolant.
Fuel tank needs work, and/or replaced.
new oil w/ filter
New Fork seals installed (new ones came with it)
New front tire.
Also before Its road worthy I will need to figure out my headlight and front turn signal options.
I have the front fairing although its damaged, and the rear one which I like.
And unlike my old postings here is pic's for visual ppl..
Thanks for any help and/or advice, its greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the boards Smiddy!  Looks like you have a little work to do.  Not a bad deal, so long as you can get her back on the road.  Goodluck!

A VFR is not an investment. The only people who love VFRs are on this forum.

I have a pristine 95 for sale and if it wasn't for lowballers, I would not have any offers.
Once you dump 10K into the bike it will still only be worth 2500.00.

Easy to put ALOT of money into a bike in that shape.  But I wouldn't give up on it.  Just be careful.

Know what you mean on your '95.  Nobody wants to give what anything is worth these days.  I don't think it's necessarily that they don't think its worth what you are asking so much as they are looking for somebody down on their luck in this economy that they can take advantage of that really needs the money.

Hey, nice buy but add everything up before you start spending. I've seen VFR's on craigslist here in Atlanta. You may want to keep that as a spare bike, or sell it to me!

Im deff putting it back together and keeping it as I really want to be riding soon! Its been a while since Ive owned one and been missing it alot!! But here's the front Im going to rock on it, and im keeping the rear end the same. Its getting painted this blue and frames going black.
