Any ideas if there is touch up paint for the Asphalt Black VFRs that will retain the flat black textured look? Preferably something in a spray can since it not something that needs a high gloss to begin with.
Asphalt Black (Flat Black Textured) paint - Touch up?

Wouldn't a paint brush and flat black house paint work? :laughing6-hehe:
Have you talked to Timmy about this? He IS the expert, you know.
The paint for the Asphalt black is two parts. The black and the clear coat. The clear coat is actually the part that gives it the matte finish. Look for the paint code under your seat on the subframe or go to Colorrite.com and plug in your bike info.
FWIW Colorrite says their version doesn't take a clearcoat.

I have used Colorrite to paint a side fairing and it worked really well. I may be wrong but the tank is the only part that has any type of clear to protect it from gas spills.
So my used solo cowl is pretty scuffed up - would I just be able to take the colorrite spray and paint away, or would I need to prep/sand/prime it?

I just primed and painted. The left fairing in my profile was the one painted.

Hopefully he'll chime in, I'm sure I'm not the only inexperienced painter to consider grabbing a can to take care of minor cosmetic stuff that's not enough to spend big bucks on, but bugs you when you hop on the bike.
