Dan Moto mufflers on 02+ VFR800

This guy fitted Honda CB 900 Hornet all years Carbon GP pipes on a 2010 VFR800. For $160, it's a steal: http://www.dan-moto....roduct-235.html Check it out.... Anyone else here do this or have more info on how to install them?

I would like to hear it out on the road a bit.  It sounds good in the clip but not all that different than my partially gutted stock system.  Of course, it would be nice to drop a bit of weight and change the look a bit.

Yea, the weight saving and look appeals to me as well.

If you look at the comments on the video thread he said he cut the stock pipes off at the joint.  It might be that he had them welded back on or used the slip on extra pipe that you see in the picture.  I'm definitely going to look into this right away.  If I can figure it out I'll let you guys know!

Also, I wonder what turnaround time would be as it appears they ship from China.

Yeah, the stock Y-pipe can be used, just cut the stock cans off as close to the muffle face as possible. One problem is that the stock pipes are oval not round making it more of a pain for connector fitments, but what I plan to do on my next set is the take the naked y-pipe to a muffler shop and have them round out and stretch those points making it easier to fit the transition connector as the stock tube are closer to 1.5" instead of Ind Standard for most mufflers at 2".
Don't think they will stretch out to the full 2" so you'll need two 1.5 to 2'' couplers which are sold at most auto parts stores.

Hmmm, I would quite like to try this. That video doesnt sound like it made it much different than my partially gutted stock pipes though... dont know if its worth it.
