Air intake duct

Is there anyone who has tried to intall an air intake duct on vfr?

Perhaps 1st introduce yourself? You know, build a bit of a sense of community, instead of treating VFRD as a free helpdesk?

My VFR already has various air intakes ex works, and an intake on the airbox.....   Perhaps you mean a ram air system?

I found quickly people here are more like close family & friends, stranger or not, than just some people to pick brains with. Some of the Audi forums I'm on is very different & distant & only care about your car, not you & what your about.

In a word, No.  But you will find a thread discussing a turbo charger designed and built from scratch for the 6th gen.  You'll need to open your wallet...

Depending on what model VFR and type of induction system you have, but adding a ram air system is certainly a much more complicated thing to do than just putting on an air scoop. A way to ensure proper fuel metering that will compensate for the added air volume/pressure going into the engine will need to be implemented or your bike will just end up running badly and maybe even damage your engine with too lean/hot mixtures that can burn up valves if you are not careful.
Anyway, most of the payback for most ram air systems happen mostly at very high speeds and the exponential curve of added HP tends to be steep that I'm not sure that everyone will really get their money and time's worth from them compared to other forced air induction systems like turbos and superchargers that really beefs up the engine power curve on a wider swath of an engine's rev range......JMOs

As has come to light on several 4x4 forums in regard to snorkels...  Unsubstantiated belief that having a "ram" head was akin to some form of forced induction - It was tested by one of the mags using wind velocity meters and pressure meters placed throughout the system...  Net result was that snorkle acted to lower pressure in some vehicles actually causing a loss of performance, it never amounted to increased performance on any of the vehicles until speeds in excess of 160kph were achieved, even then it was minimal...  You would also need to take into account the materials you would likely use to fabricate said air ram...  Many opt for corrugated flexible tube as it's easy to work with given the room constraints - what they don't factor in is the turbulent friction created by the corrugations which, in real world situations, can reduce the effective internal diameter of the tube by up to 50%...
