It does not make a difference. Look at the test procedures for the stator and you will see that testing between all 3 wires from the stator should have the same output. The RR just takes the output from all 3 wires and converts it to a usable voltage for the bike. So, it does not matter which yellow wire from the stator goes to which yellow wire to the RR.
What did you use to get a good solid crimp on the wires? I know crimpers are sized for particular gauge wire. Is there a particular crimper you used/liked? Or would any for "x" gauge wire work OK?
