Nep Cc-3 Not Holding Throttle

So I have a 2005 VFR800 and I installed the NEP last night but I can get the adjustement right. On the highway when I engage the lock my speed drops gradually and if I try to correct it while the lock is still on then my speed keeps going up gradually. I tried to put it tighter but then my throttle doesn't come back to the off position as It should and I tried to loosen it and then it really doesn't hold the throttle in place.

I just installed Pro Grips Duals 724 and I had to cut the ends to fit them on the handlebars, maybe they are interfering with the NEP? On those grips I find that the rubber ring near the switch housing is alot bigger than the stock grips maybe that is causing it.

Any ideas on what I should be looking for?

I think you are on the right track looking at the grips.  Try pulling the grip back from the throttle lock.  I found with my Vista Cruise that it needed a gap to the grip.

Does anyone run aftermarket grips with their NEP?

I have a Vista and ended up spraying a little silicone spray bewteen the grip and the Vista. It helped the sticking tremendously.
