Shake the handle bars and try to turn key at the same time
Next i would try compressed air to see if anything is stuck in the tumblers ....

So you tapped on key while it's in ignition?

Ok, got it free, but took 30mins of spraying 10W40, tapping, turning.. Friggin weird. I hope this doesn't happen when I'm on the road! Sent from my LG-E971 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

prolly no help considering it is July, but my ignition froze up on me literally.  Ice had gotten in there and I had to pour hot water in it to free it up and get to work.  Even on its best days, my key needs some fiddling to turn.  Keep at it.
