Part Number Color Codes

Does anyone know how to decipher Honda's part numbers as they relate to Color Codes?  2007 RWB, I know what Honda calls the colors (Spencer Blue, etc) but can't

make heads or tails of their part numbers on microfiche.  Any help?

Not sure exactly what you are asking.  If you go to the partzilla website, click on oem parts, click on motorcycles, click on Honda, click on 2007, choose vfr800 2AC.  The VFR800 2AC is the RWB model.  VFR800 AC is the Candy red model.  After that, any part you choose will be for the RWB model.  Not sure if there is a relationship between part numbers and color codes.  Hope this helps!

When I go to Partzillia, ALL part number shown for the 2007 VFR show the "800AC" prefix.  So no body parts for the RWB?  Here is a body panel part number from their web site:

Honda painted parts have a "ZA" or "ZB", etc. at the end of the part number.  64202-MR8-920ZA, for example, is the part number for the top fairing on my '96 RVF400RT NC35 (which was cracked and deformed during shipment back from Hong Kong due to incompetent packing...), but most Honda m/c part numbers follow the same format.  More info on Honda part numbers is here.  The "64202" relates to the type of part, specifically, the top fairing.  The "MR8" is the Product Code Number for my NC35; the PCN for your bike (aka RC46-II) is MCW.  More info on PCNs is located here.  The last set of numerals (the "920") refers to the region, the version and the OEM supplier for that part, so if there is a regional difference in this part, or it has been revised/improved or is simply being supplied by a different OEM manufacturer, that will be reflected there.  

Finally, the "ZA" here refers to the paint scheme applied to the part, but it does not signify which paint color directly.  To understand which actual paint code corresponds with the "ZA" in the above example, you need to look at the color chart in the front of the Honda Parts Catalog for your particular bike, where those codes are indexes with the color codes.  Some online microfiche include this page, but most do not.  Try www.bike-parts.fr or www.cmsnl.com, but as the RWB model was US-only, those non-US sites may not have microfiche for your bike.  Alternatively, the paint code is usually shown in the part number description, but not always...  Good luck.

[The description for the cowl your linked to above says "Pearl fadeless white NH341P", which, being not red, bust be the correct part!]

I just ordered touch-up paint from the Honda dealer for my RWB. Blue was 08P50-PB308P-PN and Red was 08P50-R101CU-PN for some reason those were under $8 but white was $22 or something, so I only got blue and red. I took about 2 weeks for them to get it shipped in, but I haven't picked it up yet.

if you scroll down the page on the partzilla website from the link you provided you will see the bikes that the part fits.  This part fits 2007 VFR800 2AC and 2007 VFR800A 2AC..

2007 VFR800 2AC and 2007 VFR800A 2AC are the model numbers for the RWB models (non-ABS and ABS, respectively). 

If you follow the steps I provided in my prior post above you can get part numbers for any RWB part.  Good luck.

Wow, complicated. I can only assume the fiche is international, since Pearl Fadeless White was never a rear cowl color offered in the states in 2007. Only Spencer Blue and  Metallic Red.  By far the most cryptic part number sequence of any motorcycle manufacturer I've ever come across.   

Wait a minute.  So are you saying Honda describes the 2007 25th Ann. RWB model in their microfiche as "Pearl Fadeless white" since they consider that the main color? And if you order part number 77215-MCW-K20ZA, which is shown as Pearl Fadeless White, when you open the box, it will be Spencer Blue?

That is my understanding. 

Keep in mind I have not ordered any bodywork.  Then again, I don't believe the bike was ever offered in "Pearl Fadeless white" as a one color paint scheme.  The 2006 white was Pearl Sunbeam White.
