Do we know if this is possible? Or is there a way to flash the data from an '06 to the older ecu?

I pm'd Don and the answer is no. I thought I'd corner the market on on used ECUs. The connectors are different which would get difficult to change. It would be easier to sell the bike and trade up to an 06 or newer.
Yeah I guess. With the potential remaps on the horizon and better piggy back systems it would be work. I bet you could get the connectors and both wiring schematics and make It work. Still that's lots of....work
