As for spectator safety, back in the 90's, the only spectator safety at the IOMTT was a sign saying that you sat there at your own risk....

Yes, that cought my eye too. I am not sure if they want to protect the lamppost from damage or the bike that slides into it. It seems they can't be bothered about the rider.

I think that tire is more there to spot the lamppost thet is further out than the other.

Wounder what size the singing 2 strokes are 50cc? 80cc?  115cc 2 strokes that sing very nice! (Yamaha RX-115)
