Question About The Master Link Rivets

Whats up fellas,

I decided it was time to swap out my chain and sprockets so I gave it a go, and I was surprised how smooth it went until I hit one snag...I forgot to measure the diameter of the rivet on my DID chain before I started, so I don't know if I've mushroomed the rivet enough on the master link.

I've attached a pic of what they look like, they look good to me - and the other rivets on the chain are 5.7mm; both of mine are right at 5.8mm.  I'm guessing they are OK, but I didn't know if it was different for a master link.

Any info is greatly appreciated! I've been wearing google out for answers and can't seem to find the right one.

5.5 to 5.8 is the typical range for DID chains, so you should be good.

thank you very much!  first time I've ever done this so I'll chalk it up to beginners luck haha

man i just measured mine and they are both 0.230"; that attachment says 0.224"-0.236" - lol I nailed it, and again that is all dumb luck.

lets hope i didn't just jinx myself for the next time I work on the bike
