Someone enlighten me to my stupidity. I replaced my clutch plates when I performed my last oil change. I scuffed up my metal plates, soaked the other plates in oil for 2 hours, and put everything back together with new springs. Easy cheesy.
Now my clutch doesn't disengage. The only thing I can think of is that I didn't place clutch plate B in the right position. Any other ideas or recommendations on what to check?
1. did you get the two washer looking springs that go in first in the proper place and position?
2. one clutch plate is different, it has a larger inside diameter and should have gone first over the two springs in 1 above.
3. did you bleed the clutch properly? Clutch plate b? What year?
Clutch plate B is the clutch plate with the larger inner diameter. I had that exactly on the wrong end of the pack. I switched that around and I was back in business.
Speaking of switches . . . my neutral light is on all the time now. I'm going to start a new thread . . .
