Greetings from Lancaster county, more specifically, Akron PA just outside of Ephrata which is home to a pretty big, first Sunday motorcycle meet. I grew up on two wheels and I am sure you guys and gals can relate. Whether motorcycles or bicycles, the best times have taken place on two wheels.
Currently own a bone stock CB750 in original condition. This was my father in-laws who purchased it brand new at Ephrata Cycle and Sports in 1979 as a left over 78 model. Such a fun bike to ride and it's getting antique plates in a few weeks.
Onto the VFR's... I bought a 2003 back in 2008 that had some damage and spent the winter bringing it back to life. Thanks to my friends with liter bikes though, I succumbed to the lure of more power, I sold this and picked up a 929. It was fast, handled great, but wasn't as fun as the VFR for the type of riding I like to do.
I sold the 929 for money down on a new place for my wife and I to live, always kept the CB ;) . Years later, I own a home and work is fantastic so it was time for a 'new' bike. I immediately starting searching for a low mileage 6th generation. Within a month, i found a candy apple red with ABS and only 2400 miles down in Baltimore at Petes Cycle Co in August of last year. Well it is in the garage now with the CB750.
Welcome Aboard! Note that it is customary to post pics of your ride(s) with your intro post. Hope that the two bikes can get along and that you still get to keep both! My Duc now has two sisters, an 09 and an 01 and for the most part they all get along, but the Duc gets jealous as the two V4's seem to get more of my attention.
Thanks for the welcome! Here are the the whips! VFR is still pretty much stock except for gutting the stock exhaust. Need to get a Sargent seat soon though as the stock one is not fun for the longer rides. Also need to ditch the horrible Dunlop Sport Max II Radial D204's.
