Is It Ok To Drill Left Hand Center Stand Bolt?

Hello again,

I'm having trouble taking my left side fairing off because the rear most bolt is ceased.

In the past I have used a drill and a stud extractor (easy out) but because this bolt goes through the fairing and then into the center stand then I'm not quite sure if drilling is a good idea.

I'm not sure if this is actually critical to the stands structure though, It would surprise me if an m6 bolt was taking the weight of the bike side loaded.

Also one of my well nuts is spinning at the front of the same fairing but I can't get to the back of it with pliers. Any tips?

It is the one about level with the head light, right at the leading edge of the fairing on the side of the bike.

Wow, never saw the first post! Glad the drilling worked out for you. As far as the spinning well nut, there are a couple of panels on the inside of the 6 Gen front cowl that are removed with the plastic clips, removing these might give you access to the well nut. If that doesn't work, depending on why it's spinning I found that by pulling on the bolt while turning it helps. if it's not stuck due to cross threading or rust, you can often get enough torque with just using your fingers.

+1, if you can't get your fingers in there then you may be able to pull the fairing out for pressure on the bottom of the bolt head while turning slowly. Rust/cross threaded, good luck.

Tbh well nuts on the lower cowl are a complete pain in the rear if you ride all weather, the bottom ones seize up every time. Personally I gave up on them after ripping them out twice and replacing the well nut and just went with black zip ties. So much easier just to clip them off and pop a new one on when I need to and you can't see or feel any difference.
