So I have been a member here for a few years now and I started out with a 1983 Honda Interceptor VF750F which I spent more time fixing than riding but it was my first bike and I fell in love with it. it was the bike I learned on and the first bike I crashed too.

I re painted the bike by myself. I can take that motor apart with my eyes closed but the cam problems have re occurred as I put in used cams the first time. it now resides in the corner of my garage awaiting a full re build. I cannot bring myself to sell it as it is more than just a machine to me, its a love story.

But I was tired of having nothing to ride so I went ahead and bought myself a 2002 VFR800A for a song and I've been loving every moment of it! I've already put 3,000KM on it this summer alone. went on a 1,500KM ride around southern B.C. and it looks like I'm falling in love again!

Good for you for holding on to your bike!  There have been many expressions of seller's remorse over having sold their dream bike when they were young.  Post up photos when you get to working on it.

Cheers
