Firstly hello all, it has been a few years since I have been around!
Secondly, Today I changed my sprockets and chain after the my 6th gen had been sitting for about 9 months. When I started it up on the stand everything was fine in neutral and with the clutch in or partially engaged. But at full engagement there is this horrible clunking noise coming from the clutch on the right side of the bike.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, she is an '04 with less than 16k miles.

Was it normal before you changed the sprockets ?
At first I thought it sounded completely normal. Then I realized that it's because I'm too used to my Ducati's dry clutch rattle.
Is that noise there only when cold or does it go away/lessen after the bike gets up to temperature and the oil's been circulating for a while?
Sounds bad but it can't be related to the chain and sprocket changes i think. :unsure:
I took the clutch slave and sprocket off and the noise went away. Reinstalled both, readjusted the chain and the noise lessened. Said to hell with it and took it for a short spin and the noise is gone. I am deaf in one ear so my buddy stopped by and said the sound was coming mostly from the left and not the right side. My prevailing theory is new sprocket and chain was making break in noise and I likely had the chain too tight (like zero slack). Also bike had been sitting for awhile and maybe the oil needed time to recirculate.

There is a problem with normal clutch knock at idle... you see over time
slop develops allowing the gear teeth to knock about and thus the
noise... grab the clutch lever and the inner basket helps align the
outer basket and the noise deadens... the only cure is to eliminate
the slop with new clutch parts... namely replace the clutch guide p/n
Another cure is aftermarket exhaust and ear plugs which effectively
curbs the amount of clutch noise from invading your space...
